You might also want to encode using a different AVI codec, in which case:
1) DON'T delete the 'Windows Media Video Decoder' block
2) Run its output into a 'Video Compressor' of your choice (don't forget to configure), and
3) Run the output from step 2 to an input of your 'AVI Mux' block.
GraphEdit is *the* way to do it, IMHO.
