Re: Recording old vinyl records onto CD's

Re: Recording old vinyl records onto CD's

: I have been making CDs and MiniDisc from old 78rpm discs for about three year. Also 45 rpm and 33 1/3rpm. I use a program called COOL EDIT, which is from Centrillium. It features a plug in program for Audio Cleanup and another for Studio which gives multitrack capability. COOL EDIT is simple to use and gives good results. If the recording is really scratchy it takes several hours to run through. I have a collection of mostly religious music, and I do a nostalgia section in my radio program of Country and Southern Gospel. Ben Cummings

Have you heard of any legal problems when transfering media from vinyl to CD? Also, do you know if its acceptable to just download MP3s for songs that you already one?
