Re: Midi Import/Export Problems
: First let me say: As far as I can tell, "Lime" may just be one of the very best notation editors on the market - PERIOD. I have used them all from Encore to Finale and this one ranks as my favorite (although I cannot afford Sibelius)
: I cannot not believe its features and ease of use and preferences. However, it seems to lack one very important set of functions that I NEED in order to fully use LIME in my midi setup (w/sequencer, HD recorder etc . . )
: Midi import . . . one voice at a time? Ouch! That seems terribly impractical. I have to know how many measures are already in the file and time signatures + whatever else. I rely heavily on instant midi transcriptions (being that I juggle between apps such as sequencer to notation etc. ) Is there any way to do this more effectively in LIME? Please tell me there is!
: And what about midi export? It has all of these incredible features to tag along midi messages . . dynamic recognition and so on - but it only saves as MIDI TYPE 0??? AHH! I need to figure out how to edit the voices and channels individually with my sequencer!!!! Perhaps if I could find a program for WINDOWS which would convert MIDI to "NIFF" for which to import to "LIME" and then back out?? I don't know!
: Any assistance - PLEASE LET ME KNOW! So I can decide if purchasing this program is really going to benefit me!!!
: Thank you and ALSO thanks for the LIME programmers for giving us such a verstile and powerful program for notation and midi editing.
