Mellosoftron/MIDI

I have a MIDI maker. I have the Hubi loopback device. However, in the MIDI settings window on Mellosoftron, I can't choose loopack as the port.

Since I'm completely new to all this, could you tell me if this is right?

1. A WAV file saved on Mellosoftron must be converted to MIDI to use with a MIDI maker (sequencer). The loopback device makes this possible.

2. In order for this to work, loopback must be chosen as Mellosoftron's port, and as the MIDI maker's MIDI input device (or is there a way of making Mellosoftron the input device? I'm not given this option with my MIDI maker).

In short, how does one get from Mellosoftron WAV to MIDI loop? Is there any resource for complete beginners, which gives a step-to-step account of the whole process?
