I can't dowload because i have windows 2000

Are you trying to tell me that Apple is not smart enough to make a download? Because I am trying to dowload an album on iTunes, and I don't have the latest version. So am I screwed? Because this is not what I had in mind when I wanted to use my christmas stuff on!
