if you have iTunes, you can
if you have iTunes, you can convert the song to MPEG easily. On the top bar, click Edit>Preferences>General>import settings and I think the AAC encoder changes files to MPEG. After that's done, right click a song and select "create (whatever) version" and it will make a copy of the song in the new format. personally i just suggest using Audacity recording software though if you want to stick with free stuff.
