Making the kora - the instrument of Africa's traditional story-tellers
From the BBC: "The kora is a traditional instrument similar to a harp or lute played across West Africa, especially among the Mandinka community. Aliou Gassama, 28, comes from a family of reknowned kora players but he mostly concentrates on making them and is one of Senegal's most respected kora craftsmen. He is based in the southern town of Ziguinchor."
