Alesis introduces iMultiMix 9R rack-mountable mixer

Alesis has introduced the iMultiMix 9R: A professional mixer and audio player that features an integrated iPod dock and video output.

The Alesis iMultiMix 9R is designed for studios and live venues where rack-based audio gear is common. Thousands of facilities from gymnasiums, to recording studios, to full-sized stadiums utilize mixing and rack-mounted audio hardware. The iMultiMix 9R is the first of its kind to provide mixing, iPod integration and video output.

The iMultiMix 9R features:

- iPod dock integration
- 5 high-gain mic preamps
- 2 Stereo line inputs (one switchable from an external source or the installed iPod)
- 48V phantom power
- Aux sends and returns.
- 3-band per channel EQ with high/low shelving and band pass/reject

Those using a newer iPod with video playback can display iPod video through their projector or TV by using the iMultiMix 9R’s composite video output. Video output makes the iMultiMix 9R a superb choice for use at venues with video projection or flat panel TVs. The iMultiMix 9R mixer delivers audio playback from 2nd through 5th generation iPods. You can use the iPod as a backing track for solo or band performances, while mixing sound sources all in one compact, convenient place.

The Alesis iMultiMix 9R is due at music retailers late 2007 with a suggest retail price of $399. Estimated street price is $299.
