Music Arts Enterprises and Ernie Ball Music Man present a John Petrucci guitar seminar

Dream Theater guitarist and signature Music Man artist John Petrucci will be conducting a free seminar at Music Arts Enterprises, located at 3301 Davie Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Thursday, March 29 at 1:00pm.

Seminar highlights will include tips on technique, live demonstrations and a question and answer period.

Originally from Kings Park, Long Island, Petrucci began playing guitar at the age of 12. Though primarily self-taught, he attended Berklee College of Music in Boston in the 1980s, where he learned jazz composition and harmony. While at Berklee, Petrucci hooked up with John Myung and Mike Portnoy to form a band called Majesty, which would later be renamed Dream Theater.

Since their first studio release in 1989, this US based five-piece has notched up record and DVD sales in excess of six million and headlined to audiences of 20,000. Having undertaken seven world tours across 42 different countries, Dream Theater has established a live reputation that has swept them to arena-status around the globe.

Dream Theater has since recorded 14 albums and is gearing up for another worldwide tour in support of their new disc Systematic Chaos.

Available June '07, Systematic Chaos will be released on Roadrunner Records. Petrucci is currently participating in G3 '07 with Joe Satriani and Paul Gilbert, on tour through mid-April in the US.
