Blue Cat Audio updates Analysis Pack and launches Winter special offers
Blue Cat Audio has released a new version of its audio analysis plug-ins. Already available for Windows in VST and DirectX formats, the new versions bring Mac OS X VST compatibility as well as several improvements and fixes. This is Blue Cat Audio's first commercial release for the Mac platform. For this occasion and to celebrate the holiday season, Blue Cat Audio has also launched winter special offers (from 10 to 20% discount) on their entire audio plug-ins catalog until January 10th, 2009.

The six analysis plug-ins are available as a single bundle (Blue Cat's Analysis Pack) or separately. They include an audio level meter as well as spectrum and stereo field analyzers and a multiple tracks oscilloscope. While the "Multi" series propose simultaneous multiple tracks analysis with multiple instances linking support, the "Pro" series let you extract parameters from the incoming audio signal and record them as automation curves or send them as MIDI CC messages for unique side chaining effects and external hardware control. Some tutorials show how to use these original capabilities in several host applications.
The upgrade is free for existing customers; demo versions of the plug-ins are available for download. Audio Unit versions are expected later in 2009.
Blue Cat's Analysis Pack can be purchased for the special price of €196.94 (usually €229) / $257.14 (usually $299). The plug-ins can also be purchased individually.
