Minnetonka AudioTools AWE adds llug-in for Dolby Media Meter

Minnetonka Audio Software has announced the addition of a Dolby® Media Meter plug-in for AudioTools AWE. Dolby Media Meter is a new software loudness meter that has been added to the Dolby Media Producer family of products. It is designed to measure subjective loudness of dialogue, enabling postproduction and broadcast facilities to minimize inconsistencies between programs, channels, disc based media or gaming audio elements. Continuing the success of the highly acclaimed Dolby LM100 Broadcast Loudness Meter, Dolby Media Meter includes Dialogue Intelligence TM - the algorithm for measuring the subjective loudness of speech within programs that addresses the issue of interpreting loudness based on VU or PPM meters – which were never designed to measure loudness.

AudioTools AWE is the automated audio workflow engine for editing, format conversion, encoding, plug-in processing and processing through external I/O devices. Processing chains can be auditioned and saved as templates. Hot Folders automatically apply a complete processing workflow to any files placed in them. AWE can process thousands of files off line which saves media organizations time and money, allowing them to be more productive.

Dolby Media Meter plug-in for AudioTools AWE is later this year.

AudioTools AWE retails for $395 and is available through MASI's international network of pro audio resellers.
