AlpineSoft releases VinylStudio 5

AlpineSoft have released version 5 of their popular vinyl-and-tape-to-CD-and-MP3 software, VinylStudio. VinylStudio 5 has a new look and could not be easier to use. It also has improved facilities for burning CDs and DVDs and for saving your tracks as MP3 files.

VinylStudio is a complete software solution for digitizing vinyl LPs and tapes. It records your vinyl albums and tapes to your PC, splits those recordings into tracks, removes scratches, tape hiss and more and burns both audio and MP3 CDs and DVDs. VinylStudio can also look up track listings over the Internet and copy tracks to your iPod or MP3 player. VinylStudio 5 features the widest range of lookup databases currently available, greatly enhancing your chances of finding your track listing online rather than having to type it in by hand.

VinylStudio comes with class-leading audio cleanup filters to remove clicks, crackles, tape hiss and more and is shareware (try-before-you-buy). All you need is a PC with a sound card and a turntable (or USB turntable), or you can record cassettes using a portable cassette player. And if you have a collection of singles or spoken word material that you want to digitize, VinylStudio 5 will handle those too.

VinylStudio includes detailed instructions on how to hook up your turntable to your PC and will take you through the entire process of digitizing your music step-by-step. If you are serious about digitising your analog recordings, VinylStudio is the choice for you.

VinyStudio costs $29.95 and you can download a fully functional trial copy from the AlpineSoft website.
