XT Software releases EnergyXT 2.0

XT Software has releaseed EnergyXT 2.0, a strong competitor to already established sequencer software. At a very affordable price, EnergyXT 2.0 provides music producers with a complete solution for creating music out-of-the box on Windows and Linux. The program can even be loaded as a VSTplugin into other VST compatible sequencers.

EnergyXT 2.0 has taken a brand new approach from it's early development version 1.0. The whole program has been re-coded from scratch to make it optimized for fullfilling feature requests from the user base. Going from a modular-based sequencer to a more easy-to-use and commercial sequencer, XT Software see themselves competing with well established sequencers such as Cubase, Reason, Ableton Live and FruityLoops.

Among some of the new features in EnergyXT 2.0 is a synthesizer with sample support, high quality time-stretching and pitch-shifting, REX2 support, multi-fx, clip based automation and new loop format for saving clips with VST instruments. The synth have already been greatly received among artists for its unique warm and clean sound. Timestretch is essential for remixing and working with loops for todays producers, and EnergyXT's timestretch function is based upon the very same code as many other professional DAWs. EnergyXT 2.0 also support the essentials such as midi- and audio editing, VST-plugins, ASIO and ALSA (Linux).

For those who already have invested in music sequencing software, EnergyXT 2.0 can be loaded as VST plugin, to overcome limitations and expand the feature set. All of the functions in EnergyXT 2.0 can be used as a VST plugin. Need extra mixer channels? Want to use the integrated synth? Or want to chain VST instruments and effects in a VST rack, just load up EnergyXT 2.0.

Pricing and availability

EnergyXT 2.0 is available from today (15th of June, 2007) for $ 75. This includes a license for both Windows, Linux, standalone and VST-version. Owners of EnergyXT version 1 can upgrade upgrade to version 2 for free.
