New from Behringer - 5 Channel Professional DJ Mixer with Advanced Digital Effects, infinium “Contact Free” VCA Crossfader and Audio/USB Interface.
The DJX900USB is based on Behringer’s best analog DJ mixer, but this time they souped-up the processor, allowing for advanced 24-bit FX parameter controls that can be changed realtime. It also includes a USB audio interface for playing tracks.
Infinium Contact-Free Crossfader
The DJX900USB features channel faders and the “contact-free” 45-mm infinium VCA-controlled optical crossfader - allowing for better reliability and performance. It also has a dedicated CF Curve control for customizing the crossfader’s controls, even setting the tension to your preference.
Dual Auto BPM Counters
The DJ mixer is also equipped to handle track transitions, with dual Auto BPM counters. This lets you see the difference in tempo between songs and automatically transition the tracks without having to rely on just your ears.
Since the DJ’s voice is important, the DJX900USB also includes a dedicated mic channel, with Talk over function. It will automatically detect if the DJ is speaking and will bring the volume of the music track down. A dedicated 3-band EQ is also available for fine-tuning the vocals.
Equipped with XPQ 3D Surround, the DJX900USB allows for wider stereo field. This is also controllable, able to very from noticeable to wide stereo image.
Lastly Behringer equipped the DJX900USB with ULN: Ultra Low-Noise preamps. This allows for good headroom, low noise and transparent sound.
It comes with a US list price of $599 but I just found it on zZounds for $299.99.
