Moog Music has teamed up with Spin.com and started Moog Sound Lab Season 2, giving artists a chance to experiment with synthesis and soundscaping.

Tired of the same old style and music flavor? Then you might find Moog Sound Lab refreshing, artists on the videos here use various synths and soundscaping tools to recreate their songs.

To improve their reach, Moog Music teamed up with Spin.com and continues featuring digital flavored music with the launch of Moog Sound Lab Season 2, where musicians are encouraged to experiment on using various digital electronic gear to produce inspiring and unique takes of their songs.

Artists and bands are to re-imagine two of their songs by employing Moog's various electronics gear. They will experiment on applying Moog's various digital instruments in a black box studio space within Moog Music's factory. This combination of passion and technology brings out uncanny creativity from the artists, giving their songs a unique and different feel. The artists have access to the full catalog of Moog's handcrafted electronic musical instruments and are to utilize it on their performance.

The debut episode showcases Twin Shadow who applied synthesis to organically re-invent his songs: "Castles in the Snow" and "Slow". Other bands that joined for the second season are The Antlers, Little Dragon, Megafaun and Ra Ra Riot.

This on-line video series is filmed at Moog Music's factory in Asheville, North Carolina by Moog’s in-house multi-media production team. The videos give you a sneak peak of performances that are usually reserved for experimentation and private rehearsals.

You can view one performance exclusively at Spin.com and the other performance at moogsoundlab.com. New episodes will go live on the first and third Mondays of each month. The next video in line is Little Dragon's session, which wills premier on December 5th.
