Numark Mixdeck Quad Introduced at Musikmesse 2011

Numark Mixdeck Quad

It seems serious DJs are starting to move away from the traditional dual channel systems, and getting into four channel control.

And Numark are getting in on the action by launching their new Mixdeck Quad at Musikmesse in Frankfurt.

This latest edition to the Numark range is a professional-grade DJ controller and player with integrated effects, direct connection for iPad or iPod touch, and inputs for CD and USB flash drives.

Mixdeck Quad delivers increased capabilities over it's predecessor Mixdeck by including support for core MIDI on the iPad and iPod touch, opening the world of iOS Apps like Algoriddim's DJAY to the DJ’s rig.

It also has a fully functional four-channel digital/analog MIDI mixer, allowing simultaneous control of a connected iPad or iPod touch and a computer while mixing from CD, flash drives, mics, or external sources.

Like many other Numark products it comes bundled with software: Traktor LE if you live in Europe, and Virtual DJ in the USA.

The main features are:

  • Complete system with CD/MP3/USB decks, mixer, computer audio and MIDI interface, and iPad core MIDI and audio support
  • MIDI integration of decks and the mixer for controlling both computer software and iPad apps
  • iPad supported by Algoriddum DJAY
