PG Music have released Band-in-a-Box 2011.5 for Macintosh

Band-in-a-Box is an intelligent automatic accompaniment program. You type in the chords for any song using standard chord symbols (like C, Fm7, or C13b9), choose the style you’d like, and Band-in-a-Box does the rest. It automatically generates a complete professional-quality arrangement of piano, bass, drums, guitar, and strings or horns in a wide variety of popular styles, plus optional live audio tracks with RealTracks and RealDrums. RealTracks and RealDrums are audio instruments that replace the MIDI track with actual recordings of top studio musicians - they are full recordings, lasting from 1 to 8 bars at a time, playing in sync with the other tracks.

There are 20 new features in this update. There are a number of RealTracks enhancements, like improved timing of RealTracks and RealDrums on Snow Leopard and Lion, support for Pedal Bass, a “Same-But-Different” feature that automatically ensures 2 or more tracks with the same RealTracks will never play the same thing at the same time, smoother playing in waltzes, better pushes and more simple variations, Bigger Soloists with more riffs and 101 NEW RealTracks! There is also a new web demo feature that allows you to audition a style in the StylePicker without changing your existing arrangement by playing a streaming demo from the web, and more.
