It supports a number of industry–leading audio workstations. Linear PCM, with complete metadata support, is easily encoded and decoded in real time and in the background at real time speeds using the same convenient and familiar, cross–platform plug-in formats.

Aside from the focus on Dolby E, the new SurCode update now works up to 5 times faster, thanks in part to its new multi threading support on all platforms. This means that you can get projects done at an incredible faster rate, improving productivity and lessening processing wait times.

This speed improvement is matched by improved platform compatibility. Version 2.0 introduces a new Final Cut Pro Export Decoder and AudioSuite Decoder, this will enable easy decoding to PCM without the need for external applications or processing loops. Aside from its broader RTAS, AudioSuite and VST support, SurCode 2.0 is now fully compatible with the recently released Apple’s Mac OS 10.7 Lion and Pro Tools 10. Minnetonka Audio ensures that SurCode is always in parity with the latest platforms

A new version of the SurCode for Dolby E Production Suite is also available. The bundled AudioTools AWE and SurCode for Dolby E Stream Player plug–in utilize the improved speed of SurCode version 2.0. This bundle will provide quicker real-time encoding and decoding of Dolby E streams and files, and will give you the ability to automatically downmix surround streams to stereo in real-time. The SurCode for Dolby E Stream Player is readily compatible with Avid’s NewsCutter, Media Composer and Pro Tools 10, and it includes cross–platform VST as well as AudioTools AWE formats.

SurCode for Dolby E bundle is currently priced at a discounted price of $3,495.
