TYRELL NEXUS 6 - The Crowd-sourced Virtual Synth

TYRELL NEXUS 6 - The Crowd-sourced Virtual Synth

You may recall that last year we brought you the fascinating story about a synthesizer designed by the readers of German electronic music site Amazona.de.

Initially it was hoped the synth would be produced by one of the large synth manufacturers and although that hasn't yet come to pass, they have managed to team up with U-HE to produce a VSTi version.

This story is also quite remarkable due to the fact that the TYRELL N6 is quite probably the first time a software emulation of a hardware synth has been released before even a prototype of the original hardware has been built.

Peter Grandi from Amazona.de insists that this intriguing story won't end with the plugin, they are still pressing ahead with their dream to make the world's first crowd-sourced analog hardware synth a reality.

The VSTi TYRELL NEXUS 6 synth is available as a free download.
