Tone2 Vintage Demo Contest is a music production competition that will highlight Saurus analog synth's factory presets.

This contest is a chance to show off your music and win some Tone2 products.

To join, all you have to do is download the Saurus analog synth demo from Tone2 website and produce a vintage sounding demo song that will utilize Saurus factory presets.

The contest organizers will pick the top three songs from the submissions and these winners will receive spending credits to purchase Tone2 products. The winning songs will also be included in the new Saurus product MP3 demo.

The style of the song you will be submitting should be utilizing vintage synth sounds, you can check the styles of Vangelis, Klaus, Kraftwek, Schulze, Tangerine and dream for reference. You can also listen to synth driven music of the '70s era for inspiration.

You can use percussion from other synths or plugins, or you can also use the built in drum presets of Saurus. Finally the song length should be within 2 to 3 minutes, or you can submit multiple one minute fragments. Take note that you should not apply any post processing, mastering effects or compressors.

The demos should be in at least 256 kBit MP3 or Wav format, and submit it to tone2@tone2.com before July 2, 2012.

Existing Saurus owners are also encouraged to join. If you win, you can grab any of the other Tone2 Audiosoftware products via the credits.

Here are the prizes:

• 1st Prize: $250 worth of credits to spend in Tone2 Shop

• 2nd Prize: $200 worth of credits to spend in Tone2 Shop

• 3rd Prize: $100 worth of credits to spend in Tone2 Shop

The remaining entries that did not make it to the top 3 but were included in the Saurus produce MP3 demo will each receive a free BiFilter2 license.
