Ableton Push and Live 9 Released

Ableton releases the latest version of their music production software Live 9, and their first hardware instrument Push.

Staying true to their announcement a few months back, Ableton now brings improved software performance and great hardware compatibility with their two latest offerings: Ableton Live 9 and Ableton Push.

Owners of previous Ableton Live version can update their software immediately, the price for the update will vary depending on what you currently own. You can find out the cost by logging into Ableton's website.

The full version of Live 9 is now available at retailers worldwide and at Ableton.com. The Intro Download version, which is aimed for those that want to try Ableton Live is priced at $99. Note that this is also available as part of a bundle with Ableton Push.

Home recording enthusiasts will find the Standard version fitting for their requirements, this version is currently retailing for $449. Finally, advanced users who require nothing less than the complete tools and utilities that Live can provide, will most likely invest in the Live 9 Suite download version, currently retailing for $749.

Ableton finally makes their official entry into the hardware controller/instrument market with Push. It is designed to help you create songs conveniently from scratch with manufacturer compatibility to Ableton Live. It features dynamic pads, buttons and encoders that combine to provide you with a dynamic workflow, in the same manner as their popular software.

Ableton Push comes package with Live 9 software, and the most affordable bundle starts at $599, which include the Live 9 Intro. Push with Live 9 Standard is at $849, while if you want all the features, you need to shell out $1,099 for the Push with Live 9 Suite bundle. Note that owners of older Live software can avail of discounts depending on what they have.
