Komplete 9 now comes with 33 instruments and effects while the Komplete 9 Ultimate comes with 65. Notable additions include the brand new Monark monosynth and a redesigned Battery 4 drum sampler. Both bundles now come with essential studio effects that provide all-in-one production solution from songwriting to finished composition.

The new Monark monosynth is designed to produce classic analog monophonic synth sounds that are organic and warm. It utilizes Reaktor's modular DSP framework to recreate the interaction of complex analog circuits, including overloaded filter behavior, oscillator and filter drift, snappy envelopes and punchy electronic drum sounds. Its old school sound is contrasted by the modern and intuitive control panel, which lets you quickly dial in your preferred sounds.

For Komplete 9, Native Instruments redesigned the Battery 4 drum sampler, giving it a sleek and more intuitive interface for quick and easy drum programming. It now comes with over 70 new contemporary kits tailored for electronic and urban music. Visual monitoring is provided by an adaptable color-coding system, which lets you easily distinguish the various kits you have setup. You can also create your own custom kits with its easy-to-use drag and drop interface. The drum sampler now comes with new effects and enhancements including the Transient Master, Solid EQ, Solid Bus Comp, Tape Saturation, LoFi and a convolution reverb. You can re-order effects, create chains and even setup side-chaining. The redesigned Battery 4 aims to accelerate the creative process.

Aside from the two mentioned, Komplete 9 comes with other instruments and effects. Session Strings is one of them, a contemporary string ensemble for adding modern string arrangements to your music. Solid Mix studio effects was updated and now operates as a stand-alone plug-in for your DAW. Another new instrument is called Giant, based on the world's biggest upright piano, and comes with a cinematic mode for creating atmospheric textures and soundscapes. Other instruments and effects include Kontakt , Guitar Rig 5 Pro, Reaktor 5, Prism, Massive, FM8, Sparkm and Absynth 5. Other effects include Reflektor, The Finger and Traktor's 12.

"Komplete 9 Ultimate" is the top of the line of the series, it comes with all available instruments and effects for Komplete, amounting to a total of 65. It gives you over 16,000 sounds with 370 GB worth of content on a single USB hard drive. It carries all the instruments and effects of Komplete 9, plus various other premium instruments and effects. This includes the Reverb Classics, Premium Tube Series, Action Strings, Session Horns, Scarbee Rickenbacker Bass, Damage, Session Strings Pro, Razor, Skanner XT synth and many more.
