Numark Mixtrack Edge - Musikmesse 2013

Numark introduces Mixtrack Edge, a portable DJ controller with a very thin profile for DJs on the go.

Along with their other products, this sharp looking DJ controller is currently on display at Musicmesse 2013 Frankfurt, Germany.

With the new Mixtrack Edge, Numark attempts to fit all the essential features that DJs need into a slim low-profile form factor. It is basically the same size as an iPad, making it very convenient to store in your bag and carry around.

This DJ controller has all the essential controls for mixing songs on the go including hot cue, sync, loop and it comes with two effect controls per channel. To ensure that the unit can put up with constant setup, tear-down and travel, the controls are built solid and they sit on a sturdy brushed aluminum panel. It also comes with an integrated cover to better protect the control surface.

Mixtrack Edge comes with a built-in audio interface for headphone cueing and PA system output. Aside from its array of bright backlit buttons, there are two slim metal platters that you can use to control pitch bend, pitch fade, song selection, and cue mix.

Chris Roman, Numark Product Manager, said "This is a controller for every DJ, Mixtrack Edge incorporates capabilities and design elements that make it a perfect go-to controller for cocktail hours, minimalist setups, or to keep with you all the time to work on or use for pre-gig prep."

Mixtrack Edge is compatible with all the popular DJ software that utilizes standard MIDI, and it works on both Mac and PC systems. Since it is USB powered, the unit does not require a separate power adapter.
