GroovemakerWe've just given away over $1100 worth of great music software! Shareware Music Machine recently offered the chance to win copies of Groovemaker, Rubberduck and Acid DJ. All people needed to do was come up with an original sample or loop. The good people at IK Multimedia, D-lusion and Sonic Foundry chipped in with support, giving away a range of cool programs such as Groovemaker, Rubberduck and Acid DJ. Macintosh users weren't left out either, with copies of Groovemaker going to the best three entries. Let's have a quick look at what was won.

First prize: GrooveMaker plus Contaminated + Drumbasstic libraries, Rubberduck, d-lusion Drumstation and Acid DJ.
Second prize: GrooveMaker plus Contaminated library, Rubberduck, d-lusion Drumstation and Acid DJ.
Third prize: GrooveMaker, Rubberduck and d-lusion Drumstation.

Groovemaker was up for grabs, along with the 'Contaminated' and 'Drumbasstic'libraries for putting together some killer grooves. With 'Drumbasstic' you can create some extreme drum 'n' bass and trip-hop laced with nocturnal, soulful psy trance and irresistible tribal grooves. If you get 'Contaminated', you'll have access to weird and chemically altered sounds as well as an enormous collection of phreaked-out bass lines and alien noises. Check out the Groovemaker Demo for PC and Mac.Rubberduck console

The good folks at d-lusion offered up something to get you propelling those beats along. RubberDuck is a realtime software synthesizer dedicated to electronic dance music. Roughly based on the the well known TB-303 , the RD H30+ makes some seriously twisted, screaming, bubbling bass sounds. Then there's DrumStation, which is based on the concept of the legendary drum computers TR-909, TR-808 and TR-606 whose throbbing bass drums and crashing hi-hats sent generations of dance-music enthusiasts into ecstacy

Acid DJFinally, we have Acid DJ. It delivers hundreds of pre-recorded music and sound loops that you can mix-and-match to create your own irresistible rhythms. No matter what groove you're looking for, you can create it with over 600 royalty-free dance loops of thick bass, fuzzy guitar, pounding percussion and screaming synth. You can check out the Acid range at Sonic Foundry.
