I understand where you are coming from, even in Asia is the same.

But you have to understand why the CD are price in such a way, first the record companys have to pay for production, mastering, manufacturing CD/Inlay and Royalties (Artist/Publishing).

And the cost keeps going up every mth/year. And to be frank record company profits are getting lesser and lesser. So spare a thought, everything counts including marketing and promotions.

NOTHING COMES FREE.


: CD's in the country where I live are around 20 dollars a shot in most shops. No wonder people are sharing their music.
: This over priced racket has been going on for years...making everyone in the recording industry very rich indeed...
: If they want to see a reduction in copyright infringement I suggest dropping the price of their CD's so everyone would be more eager to make a collection of genuine CD's and not folders of MP3's
: In the near future DVD music with sound quality far higher than CD's will be an attractive purchase for music lovers...lets just hope they get the price right.
