By Geoff Nicholson Napster has removed 317,377 users! ...Continued Over 300,000 kicked off Napster. More to follow? The bulk 'removal' comes after Metallica presented Napster with a list of user names, file names of allegedly infringed music and IP details of the Napster server the individual users were connected to. The Napster ban only applies to shared versions of commercially released songs, not concert bootlegs. Napster said users who believe they have been banned by mistake can submit a counter notification form. Dr Dre, who has also filed suit against Napster, has announced he will submit a list of names to Napster in the near future.
