By Doc Audio Steinberg Distributes the DI-PORT for Mindprint 24 bit Front End, ADDA I/O for the Digital Studio "No Mixer-required" ...Continued You'll be happy to be DI-PORTed MindPrint DI-PORT is the perfect recording solution for every computer based digital studio. DI-PORT comes in a 9 1/2 Rack housing and offers everything the musician needs for comfortable and high quality recordings with up to 106 db of noise to signal ratio. DI-PORT features 24 Bit ADDA in either 44.1 or 48 kHz. Combined with a simple digital Soundcard with only Digital I/O, a computer and powerful software the musician is equipped with anything he needs. The DI-PORT stereo output features digital coax and optical connections and additional digital and coax inputs, ideal for users with consumer Dat- or MD-recorders. On the Input side of things DI-PORT offers Microphone Inputs and Line Inputs as combi-sockets, switching automatically from Line to Mic Impedance according to the inserted type of plug. In Microphone Mode DI-PORT delivers 48 Volts of Phantompower for the use with condenser Microphones. Additionally DI-PORT has an analogue Line Input on the rear panel. This enables the user to either route these Inputs or the Inputs from the front panel to the AD-Converter by simply pushing the front/Rear switch. This is very useful for setups combining Microphone and Line-/ Instrument recordings. DI-PORT's rear panel presents a number of very essential connections offering simple but very useful possibilties which make DI-PORT the one stop solution for the computer recorder: DI-PORT features a stereo Monitor system via coaxial and RCA jacks. This enables the user to monitor the analog input signal mixed through the Mix Knob on the front along with the digital input signal (e.g. the playback from the computer) through the Monitor Outputs. The monitoring happens with zero latency. Additionally the user may use the headphone connectors for further monitoring purposes. The monitoring volume is adjusted with the Volume Knob on the front. Result: Without the need for any external gear the musician can record a performance and monitor his playback at the same time. DI-PORT is available since April in stores worldwide for USD 399.
