There are enough alternatives to Napster, to start of with, 'grey' napster servers (see napigator). But the basis is quite simple: fuck those guys who are only in it for the money (cfr. the record by Frank Zappa and the mothers of invention.
Music is free ... as it was for centuries. If the aim of the musicians is to make fortunes: too bad. If it is to earn decent money: no problem. Only it is so that Napster doesn't prevent anyone from making decent money - just not fortunes no more: not the artists but especially not the record companies. And there lies everything: the record companies will defend all they have with everything they have to fuck us music lovers the harder the better. So: all those people talking now just don't know what they're talking about. They once again forget to learn out of history, as did so many before them !!!!
