I can't believe that guy Matt said that 22050Hz sounds good even as a wave file. Who are you??? Richard D James on a bad day. You obviously don't monitor your music very well. I guess you can expect that much from someone using an SB live card for audio recording. Good luck with that. You people have to realise that Reason is not the ultimate music making program. It takes real audio and MIDI gear to attain the sounds and control you really need to make REAL music. It's 16bit. The quality of a cd, yes. But music doesn't start at 16 bits. When Reason becomes 32bit, 96K, then come and see me. Even Fruity Loops 3 sounds better right now(but it sucks). The only reason I use this program is because it acts as a fairly useful sequencer through the Re-Wire function in Nuendo. But when they fix their MIDI bugs, Reason will disappear. You cannot compare the NN19 Sampler to Giga Sampler, or a real Akai sampler. Nor can you compare a Nord Lead to some software synth bank. It's a nice start but you just can't have all the package that easily yet. And although I do use a PC, you all must know though things are changing, the fact remains that Mac' are still the industry standard(not including IMac'). A 1GHz G4 Dual processor hooked-up to Pro Tools Rig is unmatchable to any other Digital Audio Workstation. The same goes for someone using Logic Platinum for MIDI sequencing. And I have to ask you this. After you have seen music created like this how much do you appreciate electronica now. I can tell you that if you venture into real recording and programming you will learn the greatest respect for how they do it.
