Well, first of all you should have skills in order to compose tracks. Soft-/Hardware are only TOOLS to make music. I'm sure there are people out there who are able to compose better tracks with Fruity Loops than you do with Logic Audio. I've been using CuBase for about 5 years now and know how this program works. I know almost every detail of this software and that is why I haven't turned to Logic so far. I had a look at it and I think it might be better than Steinberg's sequencer. But I want to compose, I do not want to be confronted with technical Isssues all the time. You can compare Reason to a lot of other software, but this won't tell you anything about what's coming out in the end. So if someone feels comfortable with any software and it suits his needs, then you should be aware of what he finally produces, because it might beat your shit. And 96khz and 24/32 bit recording is not important at all in HomeRecording. Even in some styles of music you don't give a damn about these questions, because the instrumentals are only a way to transport a message. And 44.1khz at 16bits is great then...
