| Starting out, need advice please help. |

I am starting out, very much a novice in "computer-aided music." I love electronic music of the 80's and of today. Anything from Depeche Mode to Orgy, From New Order to Rammstein and Lords of Acid. I play guitar, keybord, and Have a Boss Dr. 202 Drum Machine as well as a 4 track recorder. I really want to get into computer music as I know that is truly the only way I will be able to get/make/record those sounds that make up the industrial/electronic music scenes that I love. I want to be able to use my keybord and drum machine with the computer to make killer songs that are more industrial/techno/goth sounding.... I need advice. Remember I am starting from scratch. I know I need software and Im sure I need some more hardware as well. Iam thinking of buying a new computer as well. Notebook, or desktop? which would work better... what does it need? Please feel free to email me with your suggestions.... I need as much help as possible. thank you, VJ
