...Continued How? What? Which? Ahhhhg,,,help!

Question: I am teaching a course using basic audio production, but the college currently doesn't have any software capable of audio editing. I am using only voice recording for radio-style pieces. It needs to be simple and inexpensive. What would you recommend?
Try Cool Edit 2000 for Windows 95/98/2000/NT. You'll find it at http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/Cool_Edit_2k/. It's a very handy tool.

Question: I am looking for software that converts Real Player songs to WAV files. Help!
Try the Streambox Ripper. It can convert RealAudio and MP3 files to WAV as well as Windows Media Audio (WMA). You'll find it at http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/Streambox_Ripper/

Question: I want to edit an MP3 file. Is this possible without changing it to a WAV, editing and then converting it to MP3?
Yes! Try the MP3 editor MAYAH EditPro 2.04. It features the full range of MPEG 1, 2 and 2.5, Layer 2 and 3 editing. You'll find it at http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/MAYAH_EditPro/. But there are also several other MP3 tools that are handy for various parts of the editing process. You'll find them in our MP3 section, located at http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/win95/MP3/ .

Question: I want to make MP3s from an old demo I have on a cassette tape. Can you give me some web pages to look at? I want to check out some software.
The Cassette Tape Producer 4.16 for Windows 95/98/NT is decent by all accounts. You'll find it at http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/The_Tape_Producer/.
