I have done this before ...

MP3 files can be copied to CD's, use the data file option, and not audio option in your write software ( I am using Nero ).

There is a software "CDEX" downloadable from
net, which can convert the audio CD's to MP3 format easily, and it really is good.

This can be copied to CD's , so that you can
have some 6 CD's in one CD.

See that you record at 128kbs, in case you need
to play in the DVD player, and all the new ones
support MP3 formats.

All these will surely play in your PC.

There are MP3 cd's available for sale in India,
for approx 100 Rs. with lot of Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam songs in their collection.
