I recently got a book called "Cool Edit Pro 2 in Use" from Books A Million and it's great. It's well worth the $39.95 price tag.
Hope this helps.

: I definately love CEP and along with some plugins (although you hardly really need them considering all the FX CEP has)my studio achieves some great results using mostly software.
: Over the past year I've gotten pretty used to the program and have developed some neat editing tricks (although I'm sure others have done the same things), however I'm sure that I could be using the program to fuller potential if I knew more about certain things, such as: scripts, batch processing, filters, vocooder, beat finder, sound genaeration, and some of the other features that I never really took the time to explore.
: One reason is that the instructions really don't do much more then explain what the settings do. In order to really learn an FX or process, you need a realistic example of it in use. This is where a tutorial or book would come in handy.
: I know Syntrillium already has a free CD that explains and demonstrates some basic multitracking and editing, but if they (or someone else) would take it a step further and demonstrate some advanced techniques like using scripts, creating synth like sounds with the Tone Generator, and even good examples of common FX like EQ, chorus, and compression, I know it would be well recieved.
: I personally would be willing to spend $50 or so on such a CD (or CD set). It could be profitable for Syntrillium (or an individual).
