How much should any ambitious person make? Why is it now that music products are so different than any other product i.e. furniture? There is a big explosion of ideas and nobody is a leader but instead a follower. It doesn't seem that anyone gives this an ounce of thought but instead, just get wrapped up in a movement. The truth is, most people in favor of ripping off the artists have little or no musical talent. There is enough artists without talent as it is. People are the judge of talent, If one artist makes more, it's because people like them more than one who makes less.
I agree, the music industry sucks. I've actually turned down their offers to persue my own cash oppertunities. By your philosophies, you now threaten me. If their is something you hate about the industry then boycott it, don't steal. Apparently my work is being shared on the internet by people like minded as you... Attacking me for your cause... your hate for an industry that I'm not a part of!
Again, I doubt that you would have ever come up with my music compositions, even if you are a good musician. If you spent any time in a recording studio, then you must certainly know the agony of recording. You must also know that from begining to end, the work is long and frustrating. Somehow you think it's all a party...but guess what, that is the reward for hard work!
So why don't every person such as you pick up an instument, take time to learn it, come up with an idea that everybody wants to hear, and give it away! You have that right to give away your work if you wish. If you don't want to buy someones work based on your philosophies, then don't have anything to do with the work. After all, either you like it or you don't. You and your kind pick and choose what aspects that suite you to justify stealing!
