I have just read your article and being a member of an independent Australian rock band it concerns me.Now, we dont have the money to put into merchandising and participating in the "tribal" thing as you put it,and we spent countless hours writing, rehearsing, practicing our own instrumental skills and performing live for a fairly measly paypacket.Physically selling CD's is something that we aim to achieve.
I dont have a problem with using it as a promotional tool but your open acceptance of piracy and the copyright situation concerns me.I will now get off my soapbox and back to my guitar .Thanks......
