deleting voice from a wav file

Hi
i really hope you can help!!!!
trying to take all the singing out and just keep the instruments from some wav files. downloaded some acousitc thing and about to pull my hair out, as i have had no joy as yet.
if you have any ideas, i would really appreciate advice as to how to do it.
