Software Description

BladeEnc is no longer available

This is the Macintosh version of the command-line MP3 encoder BladeEnc, by Tord Jansson.

This program acts as a wrapper to the original BladeEnc. It's "around" the original BladeEnc encoding engine, making it possible to use BladeEnc on Mac. Version 1.3 is based on BladeEnc engine version 0.92 (stable).

  • Many bitrates: 32, 40, 48, 56, 64, 80, 96, 112, 128, 160, 192, 224, 256 and 320 kbps
  • Many sample rates: 48, 44.1 and 32 kHz
  • Drag & drop support (drag AIFFs or WAVs on BladeEnc to encode them)
  • Control over most original BladeEnc options
