MEEE TOOO : Can someone point me somewhere?

: I want to move MY vinyl collection to CD !!
I'm on a Mac G3 400htz tower and thinking about a G4 w/ Firewire
This is a particular kind of task and so help would be a very nice gift.
preferably from those who have gone the gauntlet before me
A Mac & Windows "step by step" must be on the Web someplace but
I have yet to find it .
