: : : : When I download a .mpga file I do not get the option of changing the type to .mp3. Likewise, I can't seem to change the type of file properties after it has been downloaded either. How do I go about changing the file type so I can burn the file to a CD?
: : : You need to rename the file from .mpga to .mp3. I think your problem may be that you haven't enabled Windows to display file extensions.
: : : See if the following tutorial is of any use:

: :) This will answer all your problems with converting from MPGA to MP3:
: You have to rename the original MPGA file that has a "File" type of "file" to mp3. This is critical: The file that lists "file" as it's file type must be renamed. As stated before, this is done by renaming the actual file. For example, an MPGA file such as: Eagles - Hotel California must be renamed to Eagles - Hotel California.mp3
: (The file type will immediately change to mp3)
: If it does not, then you have not changed the right file.
: Important: There should be 2 associated files with the WPGA when you first rip the song from the internet. The file that, at first, looks like a data file must be changed, not the other one.
: E-mail me if you need any further explanation.

Correction: I meant to say that there are 2 associated MPGA files when you rip it from the internet, not 2 WPGA files. Sorry about that confusion. E-mail me if you have any further questions about converting MPGA to MP3 files.
