Software Description

CloneCD is the perfect tool to make backup copies of your music and data CDs, regardless of copy protection. CloneCD's award-winning user interface allows you to copy almost any CD in just a few mouse clicks.

Problems With HP8200(USB) writer

Hi,
I'm using the CloneCD 3.3.4.1 as a writer and an DVD for reading CDs. When i make a copy of a CD, everything seems to be ok, but in the end when I'm going to check the contents of the copy, i get an error function and it seems the cd is empty.
Is there something i can do to solve this and get good copies?

Problems

When burning audio cd I have difficulties to create correctly sounding disks. If original audio cd has over 10 tracks i can`t get it burned so that all the tracks are correct. Last few tracks have some odd sounds like scratching. This all happens even if i try to burn audio cd by creating image of original audio cd.
Does anyone have tips for this problem?
Maybe lowering burning and reading speed or something?

I've got a Creative Lab 32x8x4 CD-RW. Everything seems to work fine, but when I'm about to start burning, the blank CD will pop out and CloneCD will ask for a blank CD. All indications show that clonecd can support my CD-RW, but can't figure it out.

Please help...

I and many other people can burn dreamcast games easily and read them with a ROM ripper, so before you try to sound like you know what your talking about I suggest you look around a bit...

Ive heard of ppl deleting certain files from games on dvd disks such as the movie files and music tracks. Im not sure if it will break it down enough to fit on a 700Mb cd-r

There are no problems with the Phillips CD-R/RW, in addition some of these can also copy safedisk2 protected cd's ok.

May I also suggest CD-mate software available from cd-mate.com. This has built in parameters for various types of protection. I have tested this (with Harry Potter PC game)and found that it works

All I know is that MY phillips cdr 785/17 will only record on "Phillips" audio cds. No Maxells, or Memorex, Imations, etc,.
I feeeet "NOT POSSIBLE" OR "WRONG CD" ..... Beats the HELL out of me. Iplan on calling them this morningz to find
out WHY?

you can all you need is easy cd creator platinium and it copies them, i just copyed max payne 4 my brother.

of course ps2 games are dvds,that's why they put a dvd laser reader in the darn system! if they weren't,when you put them in the system and started it up,it would flash the original ps logo instead,because all original ps one games are cds, and that's how the system judges which laser to use...
anyway,unless you can afford a $500 dvd burner plus $30 APIECE blank dvd media,it's infinitely cheaper just to buy the games.for now...

Did you ever get the cdr to work I've got one one too and all I get is no cdr supported, I sure could use the driver if you found one, what burner software is supposed to work with it?

At www.creative.com there is no mention of rw8438, only for rw8432, and no help are they. It was working. I found a driver(??) update and/or something and it worked "for a while" then not??? But it (update) was on a cd that is not readable now on any machine. The most info I've gotten is at cdinfo.com check out ARTICLES December 2000 do a page search for 8438 look at links 'pictures' and 'martin' you'll have to translate martin's page. If you find anything useful. other than a green bag. let me know.

there are around 8 games that r 100% dvd format silent hill final fantasy 10 max paine and some others

use dvdshrink 3.0 to copy the dvd to hard drive and then use nero 6 to burn it.

Window xp will usually install the drive for you. You then need to update the aspi driver to aspi xp. Try using ulead dvd movie factory and try differnt dvdrs, the best are princo and datasafe.

you need to use Prassi Primo and rename your back up VIDEO_TS then create a file in the same folder called AUDIO_TS. Then record the dvd as a data dvd. this will play on any dvd player. I use Smartripper to rip movies to the hard drive.
Does any body know of a way to make the MATSHITA region free??? If so please let me know.

Hay you should try dvd decrpter and dvd shrink they work good to rip dvd's
get them at doom9.org or dvdshrink.com
