Software Description

CloneCD is the perfect tool to make backup copies of your music and data CDs, regardless of copy protection. CloneCD's award-winning user interface allows you to copy almost any CD in just a few mouse clicks.

Since the release of 5.0, CloneCD is not only able to copy CDs but also most DVD formats, such as DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD+R Dual Layer and DVD-RAM. The movies are copied 1:1 and therefore not modified (compressed). Note that to copy movie DVDs you also require AnyDVD.

CloneCD also works with other formats such as ISO and UDF files and copies CDs/DVDs with the new SafeDisc 3 Copy Protection System. CloneCD allows you to create perfect 1:1 copies of your valuable original compact discs. Should your copy-protected music CD not play in your car audio, the backup created by CloneCD will.

: PRNDRAGON PLS HELP!!!I can't burn 80 minutes CD-r's using any Burning Program. ¿how can I burn it? I have an HP8100i

Sorry piyu, you can´t. I have an HP8100i also, and this is not related to the software,is the hardware that either is 80min-compatible or not.
The HP8100i is declared incompatible in several web references. Try the URL below, for example.

Re: Burning 80 minutes CD-R

I don't know why.
It shouldn't be a problem (even with the HP-8100i)
Try NERO - get it from the link below.

Getting back the data from a cloneCD image

Is it possible to get back the data file from a cloneCd image. Cue/bin images can be read using a DEAMON emulator or using winimage or isobuster to get back the orginal data.

I have a CD-WR which isn't compatible with cloneCD and will never be ( like the site said).

Thank you for your answers.

Re: Getting back the data from a cloneCD image

Oubli,
Not as far as I'm aware.
(Is your writer the Sony CRX 100E by any chance)
I suggest upgrading your writer.

Re: CloneCd Locking up when started

: : I used to have CloneCD running good but went to upgrade it to newer version, now it locks up right when it starts. I have tried uninstalling, removing registry entries, and re-installing but still CloneCD will not completely start. Acts like the windows is inactive (gray) and dings, but there are no other windows waiting for confirmation. Task Manager shows 2 occurences of CloneCD (identical). If I close the second occurence, then the first, I can get CloneCD to shut down, otherwise it just dings. Have uninstalled several times, and reinstalled but its like somehow my Windows ME was affected- anyone else had this problem- I wanted to register it but not till I know I can get it to work again. Any help would be greatly welcomed- THANKS!

Re: surely someone can help me????????????????

Go to the icon on my computer and right click on it.then Left click on properties ,then look for the tab that says Performance.Thenlook at your system Resources if it shows yo that it has below 64 to 50% Resources you might need to buy more memory for for your pc. Also look at your task bar to see how many icons you how. More than two icons on the task bar can rob memory resources. That can be your perbolem. If not look at Device manager..Go to the icon on my computer and right click on it again ,left click on the + sign then left click on your CD writer right click on it then you will see properties, then you will see three tab setings. Left click on the tab that says :settings then look to see if the DMA is check marked if it is not marked left click on it,then hit ok on the bottom of the page then close out system properties. The computer will then ask you to restart the computer click yes let the computer restart. That sould help run your Burner if not I have no idea whats worng with it...

Re: Which CDRW is the best

I am using a TEAC CD-RW5120i 12x10x32 FireWire(IEEI 1394). It's fast and i have non to complain about. All has been doing well with my TEAC. With regards to copying DVD to CD/R/W, I am still waiting for this "software" i'm bidding on ebay. The seller responded as i asked inquiry:

-i wrote:
>i belive this is a software, right? do i need to have a DVD RAM in order to make copies?
-seller respond:
>You need to have a dvd rom and a cdr and this program and thats it! Then you can start making copies as soon as 10 minutes. Thanks and happy bidding
-i wrote:
>is this a full program or a trial version w/c require registering and additional payment? does it copy to a cdr/cdrw disk or to a dvd disk?
-seller respond:
>This is the full version and yes it copies a dvd onto a cdr disk. Thanks again.

Well, there it is! I'm still waiting for the software and see what happens. I will be updating soon.

Re: DVD

how do you degrade the quality??

Re: serial

first off, if you really wanted the reg key you would have looked for it in this page originally. do a search for my name (cheito23)and you'll see it's a little ways down the page titled "Keys for CloneCD"

It's case sensitive so exactly the way you see it is exactly the way they will expect you to input it.

You're welcome just as I was when someone gave me the key :)

Re: Clone CD w/ Iomega ZipCD

: MY GODDAMN ZIPCD DRIVE IS A PIECE OF SHIT, DONT BUY ONE, I HATE IT!

I sent my first one back after messing it with over many months. I first got it in July 2000, and just got the second one in Feburary 2001. The new one is much better. They sent it to me without charge in 3 days. Wish I had done it much earlier. It still has problems. The old burn percent was about 65%. Now about 90%.
I agree the hardware should have an upgradable firmware.

If someone know why Clone doesn't write a leadin track help me out. I am using a hp9110 burner. I have clone and cdrwin programs. Cdrwin writes a leadin on the first track but i have alot of the blotches and adnormal characters. Sometimes the color is off and it don't lite up when the song is being played. I have worked some of this out with the speeds i am using but i still can't get the leadin, if i go to track 2 then push track one in my Karaoke unit the first song will play and have the words with it. But thats the only way i can get the word with the music. Otherwise its only music and no words. If anyone know what i need to do please help...Thanks for you time...Deb

Re: ROM RIPPER

: DOES ANYONE HAVE ROM RIPPER 2.0 THAT THEY COULD SEND TO ME PLEASE. THANK YOU

Re: HP 7200e

Yeah, I just did the same to mine. I couldn't get the parallel port HP 7200e to work, so I just unscrewed it with a T-10 size 6 pointed star screwdriver and plugged it in internally and it worked instantly with Nero.

: I took the 7200e out of the case, and installed it as a normal internal writer. Works fine with NERO now. I could not get it to work attached externally.

: : Toad,

: : Strange, NERO reckon that the HP7200e is compatible. (NERO version 5.0.3.1.)

: : Go to the link below and see if you can find any updated drivers/firmware for it.

Re: ACER

: Have any tests been done with the ACER 10x4x32 cd-rw and clonecd? And what do you think of the ACER burner?

yes the test have been done
i think it is crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Cloning"

This little burner is SWEET times 2! It burns programs that I couldn't burn with the software that came with my writer! Keep up the excellent work!

How long does it take

I'm using CloneCD to make a backup copy of "The Sims". So far the program has been running for 20 minutes and the status bar says it has 4 hours to go!
Is this right?

i copied nhl 2000 for pc and after 2 hours i had the same thing. i went to sleep and when i woke up it was done.

backup of SIMS

I have a Sony CRX140, and CloneCD. I wanted to make a backup of "The Sims". Each time I got to the write stage it froze the pc.
In desperation set SAO mode and it went through the process. The copy causes the pc to freeze.
And now - ANY CD in the drive causes the pc to freeze. Music, data, anythng.

Has the sims shafted my sony cdrw?

Re: trading cd images

Use imesh a file sharing program. this way you can download bit by bit it don't matter if the other person has a 56kb modem

Brian

Re: copying mp3

There are a lot more other programs for making mixed cd's besides NERO. like adaptec easy cd creator 4 is a good one and click 'n' burn pro, prassi primo cdand programs like that

hope this helps
