Computer Sounder is a computer synthesizer that has an interface similar to a piano. The program can simulate the sounds of many musical instruments, and it enables you to use the keyboard like a piano.

I must say that 300 notes isn't much to really check it out.
But at least it works fine on my PC.
Now, I'm in Bamako, Mali, that's Ouest Africa; and I was wondering what
would be the best way of sending you the amount to get the reg. No.
I'm asking that questioin because it is written US orders : ........
So how is it for Foreign orders.

Computer Sounder won't run

I've just downloaded and installed "Computer Sounder" When I try to run it the registration message displays, but when I select the 'OK' button it just comes up with the following message...
"Run-time error '52'
Bad file name or number"
Any suggestions?

I downloaded computer sounder and unzipped and installed it, but I don't hear any sounds when pressing the virtual keyboard. My sound card is a Yamaha opl3sax onboard a Dell PII 266 motherboard, which seems to be playing all other sounds just fine. I don't see any options to turn sound on or off in your program. Am I missing some other software to enable sound, or is this a program for the deaf (joking)?

Jack,

If you feel there is a genuine trademark violation you should download the program and contact the author immediately as he/she/they might not read this discussion board.

Although given the use of 'Sounder' as generic term for software that makes sound I think you would have a hard time proving you actually have a trademark in court regardless of wether or not you have it registered.

Dear Jack,

I aware of at least 15 other programs, commecial/shareware and freeware that use the generic German name 'Sounder' in their products. It's a term that has been used for over 15 years!
Check on the Amiga software companies - yes they still exist! also Mac, etc, etc. Personaly I think it is an apalling piece of etomology but the kids seem to understand the concept of 'sounder' as being someting that makes a sound. Oh dear the violation of the English language by the US hegomony!!

Hi jake,
First to unzip a downloaded file you need an un zipper you can get on here:
http://www.winzip.com/download.cgi?home
go to the above page and download the version you need for your O.S.
After that install the unzipper and all .ZIP files on your system will be registered to that unzipping program.now that their registered find the downloaded .zip file you wish to unzip and double click on it-then extract it and run the installation or .exe file(but dont forget to scan it for viruses first ;-) )
