Software Description

Ditty is a teeny weeny itty bitty MIDI sequencer available for FREE

New in this version: sound editing a bit nicer and prev/next top group and prev/next 5.

Note to users: To download you must first join the software developers Yahoo group. This is FREE. Once you click download you will be taken to the appropriate pages with information on how to do this.

I couldn't download the file,steve, but maybe you can help me : How do I go about making a midi sequencer , one that allows you to use your computer keyboard as a piano and which allows you to change the location of the notes on the keyboard at will ? I have no idea how to do it ,but I'm learning C++ and will learn whatever I have to if I need.

Well, go to my site, get my email address,
email me and I'll send it to you as an
attachment.

As far as building a sequencer,
- learn multimedia timer API
- learn multimedia midi API
- learn midi byte format
- learn midi file format
- figure out a way to store the notes,etc in mem.
- play the midi out midiouts when timer says
- record midiins

It's that easy :)
Not really -that- easy...
It'll take you a while, but it's cool stuph :)

just spent 3000 stirling on state of the art pc to do music......this dont work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!or download!!!!!!!!

Hi. I'm the author of Ditty.

I tried downloading it and couldn't as well.
I've done an "update" of the info here,
so hopefully it'll be corrected.

In the mean time, head to
