Software Description

There are thirteen different modules in the package, with 24 lessons in each — a total of 312 levels. The games are presented in the format of multimedia flash cards. You score points by correctly identifying a note, rhythm, key signature, interval, or chord that is shown on the screen or played through the sound card.

New in v4.11

  • Competition Mode allows two players (or two teams) to compete head-to-head.
  • Dolphin Don now keeps scores for an unlimited number of players.
  • The program now includes 312 levels – up from 240.
  • A student’s level increases for each lesson passed, no matter which game is played.
  • Teachers can easily check off selected lessons for advanced students.
  • All MIDI sounds have been changed to digital audio, improving audio quality on most sound cards.
  • Change in audio quality makes it easier to hear rests in the Hear Rhythms game.
  • Read Key Signatures now includes seven sharps and seven flats.
  • A module for Minor Key Signatures was added.
  • There are three dolphin voices to choose from.
  • The program automatically converts scores from previous versions of Dolphin Don's Music School.
  • The program now works with Windows XP SP2 without installing extra files.
  • Numerous interface enhancements make the program more intuitive.

Good

Fun to play but cannot download full version.

music software

I would want a music software that would help me create choir music on all four voices:soprano, alto, tenor and bass.
Since I am part of a choir we often get songs and I would want to be able to scan my piece of music and this program to sing it for me to see how it sounds.
I want a professional music software.
I thank you for your co-operation.

I was looking for the same thing. Let me save you some time. Check out the royalty-free music from PBTM Productions (plug it in your search engine). You pay a one-time fee--extremely reasonable--and then can use the music indefinitely for whatever you want to use it for. It's high-quality stuff. Collections 10 and 20 have many pieces suitable for hypnotherapy tapes. I haven't checked there in a while, so there may be more than when I got mine.

The only caution is that the license says if you are using it only for audio (not with video or on the web), you must have a voice-over every 30 seconds. For most hypnotherapy type work, this is adequate. If you are doing subliminals (which would mandate you have an editor/mixer like Cool Edit 2000 with Studio Plug-in), I don't know. I suppose if you ever got dragged into a court of law (highly unlikely I would think) you could demonstrate that there is a subaudible voice track.

What I finally did was start learning how to write my own music. Harmony Assistant is a great program for this. Also, you might play around with Tangent, which automatically generates music and provides more control than some of the auto-generation programs out there. I pull Tangent-generated files directly into Harmony Assistant, where I can see the score and edit it. This is the best way to get free music that is up to quality standards. Hypnotherapy tapes made with junk freebie music are too annoying to be helpful.

I have just produced a 3 CD series called, "The Sound of Serenity." These CDs are available as "copyright permission," or "royalty free" CDs. You can hear samples of this music by going to dannyholley.com and click on "The Sound of Serenity" on the first page that comes up. You can contact me through that web site or at Music of Light@aol.com - Danny Holley
