how to read tabs from synthesizer

Dear friend
I want to connect my synthesizer with pc .I want to take keyboard inputs .Is it possible or i have
to make some interfave which will load/connect it ,so that when i press a key of synth. my pc should understand what i have pressed.
So that if i am playing a song it will generate notation(notation we will define such as c minor ,c sharp etc.).Please mail if you have any
