Software Description

Fat Rock Studio is a multitrack, digital audio recorder (harddisk recording-studio). It has 16 stereo/mono channels and is designed to work just like a real world recorder. It implements a plugin-architecture for realtime audio processing effects. The best comparision is probably with an A-DAT recorder.

Rock Ejay

Was there EVER a program called Rock Ejay ?????? i must have it lol

Re: Rock Ejay

: grow up and get a **** in life grr...

why don't you you f***ing moron

Re: Rock Ejay

Now, Now fellas. I think all that was being conveyed there, was the fact that the Ejay series are essentially cut & paste efforts, requiring little skill to create a 'tune'. As this is the Multi-Track recording section, I kinda got the irony too.

Come on, let's be musicians huh! All friends again? Good. :-))

If you got plenty of time and some musical talent...

Dance 7 can be used to make rock tracks as it is a simple multitrack recording studio. You can record your own guitar, bass, piano (via a keyboard) etc into it very easily and then create a drum track(s) if you don't have the luxury of a full drum kit in you're bedroom! It's got quite a lot of scope for creativity it's just stuck with the stigma of being called "Dance" 7.

I am presently having fun putting some tracks together as I haven't picked it up in a year. If anyone has a drum kit and would like to send me some samples to make it really good that would be great as I only have electric , acoustic and bass guitar :o)

what is the best multitrack recorder to use

I know there is a lot of recording software out there and i dont want to be stuck with a ton of software that i wont use im trying to clean up my audio that im recording on my computer to cd quality please help

Best Multi-Ttracks

I used to swear by Cool Edit Pro, then it was bought out by Adobe, and re-christened "Adobe Audition". Although they have made no major changes, it does take a little getting used to, and isn't cheap either. You could give "N-Track studio" a try. I used this a few times, and quite liked it. I'd advise you to download some of this stuff from here, and see what suits you, as some of the freeware is often as good as high end stuff - although it is often pretty bad too!
Trial and error my friend.

Re: : i need softwere convert music from mix. to wav file

I cant emphasize this software enough:

Creative Recorder!!!

It records ANY audio of any sort being played through your computer as a WAV.
ie: play the .mix track, hit record on CR, now you have the track saved as a wave.

you can probebly get it through Creatives web site plus it's included with a Soundblaster card.

query

Heres my problem I record the first track. let's say the bass. When i record the second track say the lead guitar, i still have the bass line from track one. I dont want that i want individaul instruments on individual tracks. but i still want to be able to hear the previous tracks when im, recording. If you can make sense of waht im tring to say please email me any tips. Thanks

Bleeding when recording

Trying to record multi-track without headphones is just artistic suicide my friend. You end up with every instrument on every track, and no way to clean up the end result. Always use headphones, and if you still like the ambient 'feel' then only put the phones over one ear, as I do, so you can record cleanly, yet still be in touch with what's going on outside of the cans.

Re: query

Head phones ! your bleeding over in open air Micing the amps ? Line in to the amps Or use head phones

Hardware requirements

Its not my computer so I don't want to purchase hardware if possible, can i use this program to record through the aux and mic inputs much the same as a traditional cassette multi-track, and, if so how about recording two tracks at the same time to maintain the stereo integrity of a drum machine for example. Any advice??????

WMA to MP3 conversion...

Ok, I got curious, and here's how you can convert the WMA (Windows Media Audio) to MP3 format. go to the link below, and DL the trial version of Advanced WMA Workshop. It completes my previous explanation of puting your cassette tapes into your computer. Try it for the 14 days, and purchase if (WHEN) you're pleased.

It's VERY EASY!!! Even for me. LOL!!!
