I might have something for you...

...multimedia keyboards will confuse FL into thinking you have a midi device - that might be the problem ... the new wireless/wired desktop keyboards, depending on who makes it, has multiple 'hot-keys' (one sroke shortcut buttons)and media control keys (e.g,; Play and Stop buttons; volume control buttons)...Fruity Loops sometimes tells itself that yer keyboard is a Midi Input Device, which defaults yer Fruity Loops keyboard configuration default as a Midi Controller.
4.1 and the latest version would do that to me randomly until I got a keyboard from Creative Software, which is a typing keyboard w/a musical keyboard/midi controller that is protected by a removable palm/wrist rest below the space bar. Try going into yer midi options and tinkering there...if you have no midi device, then select 'none' in yer options...any question - fwd to notanass1975@yahoo.com
