Software Description
This is a program for real-time sound effect processing. You can use it to add some distortion to your guitar, or some reverb to your voice.
Available effects are:
- 2 kinds of distortion (one is Ibanez TubeScreamer 9 simulation)
- sustain
- various flavors of reverb, echo & delay
- chorus/flanger
- equalizer
- noise reduction
- wah-wah
- phasor
- tremolo
- vibrato
Initially developed on Linux, the program currently can be easily ported on any UNIX system with GNU tools. There is also a Windows port.
The program uses GTK widgets (both GTK 1.2 and 2.x branches are supported),
and OSS as underlying sound layer.
The key features of the program are:
- extremely low latency on linux systems; good latency on windows
- wide number of effects
- easy and intuitive to use
- lightweight
- available on linux and windows
- great portability - can be ported to any UNIX
- low dependencies
- and of course, it's open-source and free
