: : I was in the midst of Riptide installation on a trashed hard-drive replacement when I was prompted for this file, and I didn't have a clue where to look for it. I checked all over the hp website and had no luck at all.
: : I searched for genmidi.wsl on Yahoo and came right here!
: : I'm a happy fellow, I don't mind telling you.

: Chuck, I am in a similar situation you were. I have an HP Pavilion with the riptide card and I downloaded the driver for it off the web site. However, it did not have this genmidi.wsl file. I ran the driver utility from HP and it appeared to install, but did not work as I see in Device Manager there are still question marks and it did not prompt me for the genmidi.wsl file. Where should I install this file or what exactly should I do with it once I got it, which I already have? Thanks.
Re: Thanks, I needed genmidi.wsl too!
